Prominent Activist Arrested in Cannabis Raid

Michelle X of the NORML UK Women’s Alliance and her partner Albert Bloom were last night raided and arrested by Thames Valley Police for the production and possession of cannabis.

Their arrest came shortly before the airing of the Channel 5 show ’37 Years on the Dole’, which featured Michelle’s story of her own use of cannabis to treat Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

Judges, Judicial Conduct and General Jackassery

You might have read about the latest outrageous judgement by Judge Bernie Kelly a member of the bench in the United Kingdom. She’s a judge in Derry in Northern Ireland in the event you don’t know, who decided to offer her medical wisdom on the subject of cannabis. It’s become an old story, crotchety old judge hands down ridiculous decision accompanied by a fountain of ignorance on the subject of cannabis.

Cannabis and Corporations: The Future of Weed

As you may or may not have heard there has recently been a major change in the Canadian Medical Marijuana program. The sitting Conservative government has decided that rather than leave Health Canada to grow low-quality medical cannabis in an old mine in Manitoba, that private industry should be licensed to meet the demand. This is a major change of direction for medical cannabis in Canada, and I believe an indication of the shape of the future cannabis market both medical and recreational.
